Miss Andrea started Irish Dancing when she was 7 years of age in Victoria, under Ray Ayers school of Irish Dance. She won first place in state competition and an Australian champion in team competition. When her family moved to the Northern Territory where there was no Irish dancing she began a small after-school Irish dancing group called Eire Irish Dancing, with her sister. Andrea continued her study of Irish dance during University and learned to understand both traditional Irish and ‘entertainment Irish’ in the wake of Riverdance. Upon moving to Bathurst she danced with a local Ceili group and last year was able to pick up her shoes again and to become our resident Irish teacher. We look forward to the year ahead with Miss Andrea!
